Gabriella Miller
Hello. My name is Gabriella Miller, but most call me Gabby or Gabs. I love being social and talking. I believe this led me to my passion of communications, journalism and broadcasting. This passion is driven by my love for sports. I have represented sports through digital media as a leading WOLV-TV Sports Center host, Color and Play-By-Play Commentator for WCBN, a MIPA Student Journalist Staff member, the Student Section leader and promoter for all sports, leading Norsemen News anchor, North Pointe Sports Section Editor and more throughout my years at Grosse Pointe North High School. I aspire to continue this representation through sports journalism and broadcasting as I study at the University of Michigan. Go Blue!

About Me
I'm infamously known for being the girl who is always smiling. I am a 2024 Grosse Pointe North graduate and, as you have probably gathered by now, was the North Pointe Sports Section Editor. I am now on my way to the University of Michigan to study communications and media, taking a sports broadcasting and journalism route. Additionally, I plan to possibly double minor in business and statistics, diving deeper into learning the business and data analytics sides of sports. I am extremely passionate about sports and am continuously filled with excitement to merge this passion with creativity in everything I do. I used this passion and creativity to produce new and innovative pages as Sports Section Editor in high school, always looking forward to working and writing with my peers. Throughout high school and college, I am very academically involved. In high school, I was a Detroit News CATCH Award recipient in Athletics, MIPA Student Journalist Staff member in Digital Media, Norsemen Tide, student council vice president, a LINK Crew leader, Norsemen News anchor, KNOTS and Unified member, NHS member, Interact club member, varsity field hockey player, varsity volleyball player, and varsity soccer player. Amongst all the chaos in my life, I have always found peace through sports. This blossomed from a young age. My family are huge Buffalo Bills and Michigan Wolverine fans so I grew up surrounded by sports. Whether I am spectating or playing, I always come out of sports with stress alleviated. This has created my deep connection to soccer. My team made history winning the 2023 Division Two State Championship. I even made one of the PKs securing our win during double overtime in the State Championship Final. At UofM, I am a Play-By-Play and Color Commentator for the largest student-run sports radio WCBN, and a regular host for WOLV-TV Sports Center. In the future, I aspire to be a sports broadcaster and journalist, working with companies like ESPN. It is a dream of mine to be a regular reporter for the NFL. Below is my resume filled with my honors, awards, extracurriculars, experience and more.
